Pierce Brosnan, an Irish actor with over a hundred movie credits, has starred alongside major best-loved actresses in Hollywood.
But, there is only one leading lady in his life, Keely, his wife since 2001.
Even after over two decades of their wedding, the couple is still head over heels for each other.
While keeping their marriage private to some extent, Pierce has been known to celebrate his love for his wife on socials.
The James Bond star celebrated his wife’s 59th birthday on September 26, 2022, captioning it:
“Happy Birthday my darling @KeelyShayeBrosnan. I love you dearly. So many years of love, life, work and play. Onwards we go!”

Who is Keely Shaye Smith?
Keely Shaye Smith is an American journalist, and author, who has wide experience in TV presentation, modeling, and acting.
She was a Genesis Award-winning environmental journalist for ABC’s The Home Show. She was also a gardening expert for ABC’s Good Morning America, and an entertainment correspondent for the Today Show and Entertainment Tonight.

Born in Vallejo, California, Keely also made an appearance with Huey Lewis in the 1986 hit music video, ‘Stuck with You.’
She also played Valerie Freeman in the soap opera General Hospital (1989).
Keely Shaye, Libra, celebrates her birthday on September 25 every year and is now 59 years old.

First met in Mexico
Pierce and Keely Shaye met at a beach party in Mexico in 1994.
Keely was there to interview Ted Danson, an American actor, when she started talking with Brosnan, and the pair hit it off immediately.

Talking with People, she recalled,
“He was captivating. Tall, dark, and handsome–everything that everybody would immediately be attracted to. He had this mischievous sparkle in his eyes. I thought, ‘Wow! Wow!'”

Married in 2001
After dating for seven years, the couple married in 2001, in Ireland at Ballintubber Abbey, County Mayo, in front of close friends and family members.

Their marriage was exclusively covered by HELLO! magazine, and as per their report, there was a firework display, a seven-tier cake, and an elaborate ice sculpture of Rodin’s The Kiss.

As of 2023, the lovely couple has already passed more than two decades together. And it is clear that the 007 actor is totally smitten with his other half.
Talking with The Independent, Pierce said,
“I love her vitality and her passion. She has this strength that I wouldn’t be able to live without. When Keely looks at me, I go weak.”
He continued,
“I found a great woman in Keely. Not if I searched a million times over would I find one as good.”

Together have two kids
Keely and Pierce, together have two kids.
The couple welcomed their first child, Dylan Thomas Brosnan in 1997, and their second son, Paris Beckett in 2001.

Six months after Paris’ arrival, the lovely couple tied the knot.
Who was Pierce Brosnan’s first wife?
Pierce was previously married to Australian actress Cassandra Harris. The ex-couple had a son together, Sean, and Pierce also adopted Charlotte and Chris, Cassie’s two older children.

He sadly lost his first wife, who died of ovarian cancer in 1991.
