She was born on January 16, 1975, and grew up in Altadena city of California. She loves describing herself as a Black Indian.
Her parents, Victor Waters, and Chery Waters, sent her to Howard University for graduation.
Gillian and Michael – a blissful marriage
Iliana first met her future husband, Michael Jai White, in 1995.
However, their romance didn’t spark at that time, and they remained best friends for over a decade.
After a few years, Michael popped the question to Iliana in February 2011.

The power couple held their wedding on July 3, 2015, in a lavish but intimate ceremony in Thailand.
Their wedding was different from the rest: a combination of traditional Thai and Western rituals, attended by 50 guests.

Gillian’s career highlights
Iliana’s career started from the music video as LL Cool J’s Lover in Hey Lover ft. Boyz II Men in 1996. The same year, she made her acting debut with the comedy film How to Be a Player.
The actress then landed several minor roles in television series, including Martin, Days of Our Lives, My Wife and Kids, and Ghost Whisperer.
She also had a recurring role in the hit soap opera Days of Our Lives and appeared as Amoria on Xena: Warrior Princess.
Iliana also guest-starred in the popular Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat. She had her breakthrough as the female lead in Sony Productions action film Never Back Down 3.
