Erich Schwer and Gabby Windey got along well during the entire season of The Bachelorette.
So it wasn’t much of a surprise when Gabby chose Erich Schwer. That being said, being together on the show doesn’t guarantee a lasting relationship.
Viewers can’t wait to see how things turn out for the couple.
Is Erich Schwer engaged?
Before the “After the Final Rose stage” ceremony, Erich confesses to Gabby that he isn’t quite ready for an engagement. He tells Gabby,
“In the real world, I want to date you. Getting engaged before that happens is usually not how things go.”
Gabby is in tears after hearing the news, but she still wants to be with him forever.
“I want to be with Erich forever—so I want him to propose.”

She added,
“He said, ‘I want to continue to date you,’ so that doesn’t scream, ‘I want to propose.’ I don’t want to force him into a decision.”

How things started between Gabby and Erich
Since Gabby invited him on a one-on-one date in Episode 3, Erich has been her favorite.
They clicked on their first date and bonded well.
Talking to ‘Clickbait,’ he said,
“It was a long day, and we spent the whole day together driving around. We got to know each other super well.”

The couple met again for her third hometown date of the show. And that is when she confessed in front of the “camera that she could “see [herself] falling in love with him.”
Likewise, Erich also didn’t shy away and told her immediately that he was also falling for her.
Are Erich and Gabby still together?
Spoiler guru Reality Steve claimed that the couple is still together and that their relationship has thus far been successful back in September 2022.
He stated,
“As for Gabby and Erich, they are still together. Nothing new to report there. Whatever drama goes down in Mexico, it’s not like anyone else comes back for her. He’s the only guy left. They work through it and are together today. Now, I did hear a possibility that maybe they didn’t get engaged in Mexico, and they just left dating, but I was never able to confirm that. The main thing that I doubled checked on was were they still together and I was told they absolutely are.”

During an interview, Gabby unintentionally made a remark about “her man” that implied she had entered into a relationship after the show’s shooting.
However, Gabby and Erich are no longer together. Bachelor Nation reported all about it back on November 15, 2022.
In an episode of BWTS, Gabby revealed that she and Erich are no longer together, and also said,
“The end of our relationship happened because we weren’t completely in step and in sync with each other on our common goals or just the way we approach life. We weren’t each other’s best match.”

Erich Schwer is currently dating Elizabeth Turner, a model.

Turner took it to her social media on February 18, to share a photo of her cuddling up to Schwer, during a night out.
Erich debuted their romance with a sweet post on Valentine’s Day in 2023.
