Just four years together -the musician filed for divorce from the actress on September 5, 2023, Tuesday.
Jonas filing for divorce from Sophie Turner did not come as a surprise to people around them, as they spent the whole summer apart.

Joe filed a divorce petition in Florida.
TMZ broke the story, reporting that the couple has been having problems for around 6 months.

Moreover, the report also mentions that Joe has been shopping for divorce lawyers for at least a week.
As for the divorce reason, a source says,
“She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles.”
Joe has been taking care of his children for over the last three months.
So, when it comes time for custody arrangement, he could ask for more than 50% physical custody, a source to TMZ said.
Living separately for months
A close source revealed pretty much about their current relationship issues.
“They were not separated but they’ve been living separate lives for months.”
People Magazine published a news about their divorce revealing more about it.
A source said, Jonas and Turner:
“haven’t gotten along in a while, but they’re hoping to resolve this all amicably.”
Jonas and Turner’s reps have not responded to multiple requests for comment.
Joe’s relationship with Sophie
Sophie was not into the JoBro, but all that changed after Joe reached out on social media back in 2016.
Eventually, they met at a bar, and the musician won her over.
In 2018, Joe and Sophie attended Nick’s wedding.
On May 1, 2019, Joe and Sophie casually exchanged vows in Las Vegas.

After almost two months, Jonas and Turner had an extravagant wedding.
The ex-couple-to-be welcomed their first baby Willa in the summer of 2020. And in the summer of 2022, they welcomed their second baby, D.J.
Sometime near February 2023, their relationship started to crumble down, and finally, in September, Joe filed for divorce.
The document submitted in court mentions the marriage was ‘irretrievably broken.’
