Soon after graduating from FIT, Evin started her own boutique store called “PB & Caviar” in New York City.
She launched her store on August 7, 2008, in Tribeca, a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan in New York City.
Evin fell in love with fashion while on tour with her father Bill Cosby, hanging out in the dressing rooms of Diana Ross and Tina Turner.
She wanted to create a one-stop store for stylish mothers, bringing together elegant apparel and organic beauty products for them, as well as trendy wear for their children.
Evin closed her Lowest East Side store in 2011 to relocate to Los Angeles.
She is an alumna of FIT in NYC
Evin first attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. But later, she transferred to The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
In an interview with Guest of a Guest in 2012, to a question, what brought her to the world of fashion, Evin replied:
“I was always in to fashion. I can remember starting at age 6. I was just like always trying to look like Madonna or something like that. Then it just grew. When I went to college, I went to Spelman in Atlanta for two years. I was never really interested in any of their majors. I decided to go to FIT and that’s where I stayed. I just love fashion.”
She lost her brother, Ennis, in 1997
Ennis Cosby, Evin Harrah Cosby’s brother, was murdered on January 16, 1997.
Ennis died in a botched robbery attempt near Interstate 405 in Los Angeles.
At the time, Ennis was 28 years old.

Mikhail Markhasev, an 18-year-old male, was prosecuted and convicted of Ennis’ murder in July 1998.
He was given a life sentence and maintained his innocence until 2002 when he confessed to the crime and dropped his appeals.
Her sister, Ensa, passed away in 2018
Evin’s older sister, Ensa, was born on April 8, 1973. She suffered from a kidney problem for a very long time.
Unfortunately, the renal or kidney disease took her life in February 2018; she was 44 years old then.

As a sister, losing two of her siblings was very hard to deal with for Evin.
Out of four, only two of her siblings are alive now.
She defended her father against sexual assault accusations
Evin’s father, Bill Cosby, has been accused of sexual assault and rape by more than 50 women.
In April 2017, Evin defended her father and criticized the media for his “public persecution” through a Facebook post.

In the post, she wrote:
“The harsh and hurtful accusations that supposedly happened 40 or 50 years ago, before I was born, in another lifetime, and that have carelessly been repeated as truth without allowing my dad to defend himself and without requiring proof, has punished not just my dad but every one of us.”
